Does not require a super powerful pc to run, nearly anything that runs can use this scope. I typically use a 10 year old, dual core pc running windows in my lab to run this scope, and it works just fine. I used it to capture waveform and do serial decoding. It is much easier to use than any logic analyzer for serial decoding.

Software: this model is currently supported by Pico technology and you can download the current win / mac Linux software from them for free. Specifications: usb / pc oscilloscope 2 channels, 8/12/14/15/16-bit. It has never been abused!, 100% fully tested and functioning. Please download the software before purchase, and run it in demo mode, just to make sure will on your specific pc.

D model deleted the external power supply which in my experience I never needed to use anyway. Pico technology 5244B Picoscope 2 channel, 200 mhz oscilloscope with FGA awg, this is my personal usb oscilloscope, it has been lightly used, and I always took care of it. I pack well insure to make sure the scope gets you in working condition. It also captures waveform for presentation or later analysis far better and easier than most other oscilloscopes.

That is the great thing about Pico, they keep upgrading software and you can for free. Model uses a usb super speed cable, this b model nearly any good a to cable.
